Peek Baccarat is a casino table game hosted by a real-life dealer. The base game is the same as standard baccarat, and your job is to decide which hand – the Banker or the Player – will be the closest to nine.
The peek feature lets you look at between one and four cards after the initial deal to inform your betting strategy. After peeking at the cards, you can decide to double or triple your initial bet. This allows you to win more money with each hand you play, cranking up the potential payouts compared to standard baccarat.
Playing Peek Baccarat is easy. First, create an account at Stake Casino and head to our live casino lobby. From there, select Peek Baccarat and decide how much to bet per round. Make sure you have some funds in your account balance to place your bets.
Then, when you’re in the game lobby, bet on the Player or the Banker and peek at up to four cards. You can then decide to double or triple your bet for a chance to win a bigger potential payout.
If you’re new to our online casino, refer to our guides explaining how to play baccarat before placing your bets.
Let’s take a closer look at exactly how Peek Baccarat works so you know what to expect when placing your bets:
You are given 12 seconds to place your bets when you enter the Peek Baccarat lobby. You need to decide whether to bet on the Player, Banker, or Tie, and you can also choose place player pair or banker pair side bets. Also, a 20% fee is taken at this stage to fund the peek element of the game.
After placing your bets, the dealer will place four cards on the table, two for the player and two for the dealer. The dealer then turns over 1-4 cards. Once you’ve seen the cards, you can choose to double or triple your bet. No additional fee is taken from your bankroll if you decide to increase your bet, and you have 15 seconds to decide.
The dealer then deals the remaining cards, and if you have bet correctly, you will earn a payout, as detailed below.
In Peek Baccarat, a 20% fee is taken by the house on every banker or player bet. Then, if the banker wins, a commission of 5% is taken. The following paytable indicates the potential payouts and RTP of each bet that you can place while playing Peek Baccarat:
Bet | Payout | RTP |
---|---|---|
Player | 1:! | 98.80% |
Banker | 0.95:1 | 98.80% |
Tie | 81 | 93.36% |
Player Pair | 11:1 | 89.64% |
Banker Pair | 11:1 | 89.64% |
The theoretical return to player percentage for Evolution’s Peek Baccarat is 98.80%, but the side bets lower the RTP to 89.64%.
